LastControl: Daily Audit
LastControl: Daily Audit is a free 60-second daily puzzle that runs in your browser. Eight quick items — mental arithmetic, pattern matching, working memory, and sequences — against a single clock. You get a score out of 100 and a verdict from the game's deadpan dystopian bureaucracy.
To be clear up front: this is not an IQ test. It isn't normed against any population, and it isn't medical or diagnostic in any way. It's a game score, played for tone.
The tone is the point. LastControl is a dark management game about operating a facility for a hostile bureaucracy, and the audit is your in-fiction operator screening. Two of the verdicts you might be handed:
"Tolerated. Tolerance is reviewed daily."
"The workers know your name. Today they pretended not to."
— in-game verdict text
The daily. Everyone gets the same date-seeded set of eight items each day; it resets at midnight UTC, and there's an unscored practice mode after you've filed. A daily streak changes the verdict text you receive. When you're done you get a Wordle-style paste block, a challenge link, and a permalink to your score.
What's free and what isn't. The audit, your score, the verdict, the streak, and the share card: all free, no account, no email — your score and streak live in your browser, and the anonymous audit makes zero calls to our backend. Behind a Google sign-in there's the larger game — a base, machine workers, assignments, a shared market. The audit is its front door, but it stands alone as a daily game.
Playing from this page. The file hosted here is a small launcher; the game itself opens at game.last-control.com in a new tab. It's a web game — that's where it lives.
By SOSW LTD. Indie, experimental, in active development. Feedback is genuinely welcome — especially on item design and scoring fairness.
